Marvel's Inhumans Fans Create Petition to Save the Series

Not dead yet… but mostly dead, the likelihood of seeing more of Marvel's Inhumans in their own series is slim. ABC president Channing Dungey said she was cautiously optimistic on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD coming back… but the Royal family's future is bleak. Then yesterday someone noticed that the series had been pulled off of the ABC website. Another bad sign. And lets be honest, even in most positive possible terms the series had a few interesting moments and minor character growth… other wise it was just not good.

But for every cancelled show there is a group of people upset by it. I mean, over a million people tuned into the series every Friday, which isn't much comparatively, but that's still more than a million people. And, as fans do now when a show gets cancelled, a petition has been created to save Marvel's Inhumans over at Change.org. And over a thousand people have already signed.

The author of the petition acknowledges the negative criticism and even offers up some defense for the series, pointing out that it was fast tracked, shooting the first two episode in 20 days and it didn't have anywhere near the effects budget it should've. But he saw hope in the series and wants it to continue to grow. I can't say I disagree with him in the sense that I saw some potential in the actors and characters, if given a different showrunner the series could make a positive turn.

The author also points out that he is receiving a lot of hatred on social media against the series. I don't understand why. If you don't like the series, don't watch it and don't sign the petition… but why on Earth take the time to grief someone because they did like it?

I wish them good luck with their petition. Fandom has always been about feeling passion towards the things you like.
