Two prominent names from the Stargate universe are turning their attention from science fiction to fantasy with The Outpost, an original fantasy series executive produced by Stargate producer Dean Devlin and Stargate SG-1 showrunner Jonathan Glassner. Created by Arrowstorm Entertainment's Kynan Griffin and Jason Faller (Mythica), the 10-part series was acquired by NBCUniversal International Networks for broadcast on Syfy channels outside of the U.S.

"Being huge genre fans ourselves, we are thrilled to be working with sci-fi heavyweights Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner to bring The Outpost to life. Our collaboration has spawned a unique, action-packed sci-fi/fantasy hybrid — a show for real fans, by real fans." – Faller

The Outpost stars Jessica Green (Lightning Point) as lead Talon: "the lone survivor of a race called the Blackbloods. After her village is destroyed by mercenaries, she sets out to find the killers of her family, discovering along the way that she has mysterious powers, which ultimately she must use to battle a fanatical religious dictator." Joining Green on the production are Jake Stormoen (Mythica), Andrew Howard (Hatfields and McCoys), Anand Desai-Barochia (Lake Mead), Robyn Malcolm (Top of the Lake) and Kristian Nairn (Game of Thrones).

"The Outpost is an exciting fantasy with a strong female lead that will capture the imagination of fans of both Game of Thrones and Wonder Woman. We couldn't be more pleased to have Arrowstorm and Jonathan Glassner on board as our partners as we bring the show to fans worldwide."  – Devlin

With production starting this week, The Outpost will air on NBCUniversal's Syfy channel in the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Latin America, Poland, the Balkans, the Middle East, Africa and Australia beginning in late 2018. Devlin's Electric Entertainment will handle sales to non-Syfy territories outside the U.S. at the National Association of Television Programming Executives (NATPE) conference and Berlin.
