The creator of Titan Comics latest Hard Case Crime series Minky Woodcock: The Girl Who Handcuffed Houdini — performance artist, writer and model Cynthia von Buhler hosted an end-of-year party last month celebrating the launch of the first issue of her new series. Issue two came out just last week.

Unappreciated at her father’s detective agency, the fabulous, rabbit-loving Minky Woodcock straps on her gumshoes in order to uncover a magical mystery involving the world-famous escape artist, Harry Houdini. Created by acclaimed artist, author, director, and playwright Cynthia Von Buhler (speakeasy dollhouse, evelyn evelyn,  emily and the strangers)! SRP: $3.99

So obviously Dean Haspiel turned up. Well, he did draw one of the covers. And surprisingly he seems to have kept his short on the whole night.

As the photos below show, it was a night involving seances, interactive paintings, and prohibition era cocktails…
