Ruby Riott and Naomi Go One-on-One

After injuring Naomi at their last meet-up, Ruby Riott and Naomi met once again to throw hands on last night's SmackDown. In less than four minutes, Ruby (and her Riott Squad, because both RAW and SmackDown need similar crazy girl teams) took down the Glow Goddess, and they proceeded to gang up on her. Charlotte Flair came to aid Naomi and did a pretty good job of taking them on. However, the odds were not in her favor.

Natalya, Tamina, Lana, and Carmella also came out to take on the Squad, but in true heel fashioned, they attempted to turned tail and walked away… until they all got their asses handed to them.

I want to like the Riott Squad, but Absolution just seems more larger than life. Plus, Paige is written far better than Ruby, who unfortunately is coming off as a knockoff of Paige. Here's hoping the SmackDown Women's roster gets better storylines quickly. One storyline I'm glad they haven't completely dropped has been Lana's wrestling career. If you watch Total Divas, they've been following Lana's desire to become a capable wrestler. She's had a lot of ups and downs, and seeing her wearing wrestling gear is a heartwarming feeling.
