Slott and Immonen "Go Down Swinging" as Red Goblin Debuts in New Amazing Spider-Man Arc

Marvel has released a trailer for the next arc of Amazing Spider-Man, "Go Down Swinging," billed by a press release as "the Spidey story that's been 10 years in the making, and one that will shake fans to their core." Marvel is also calling it "the start of the biggest and most harrowing Spider-Man arc yet." It's literally the greatest Spider-Man story of all time, apparently. How can you pass that up?!

So what's happening in this arc that makes it so big, so harrowing, so shake-us-to-our-core-y? Well, for one thing… you may want to sit down for this… Spider-Man will face off against his nemesis, The Green Goblin! Shocking — we know! However, the press release teases: "this story is about more than just Norman Osborn…" How so? The trailer will make that clear.

"The last time we saw the Green Goblin was in 'Goblin Nation' at the culmination of SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN," said Nick Lowe in the press release. "You'd almost think that was the biggest Green Goblin story Dan Slott had in him. You'd be wrong. And make sure you watch to the end of the trailer!"

We're glad that Dan Slott is finally passing these enormous Green Goblin stories. Holding them inside for so long must have been extremely painful.
