Brendan ‘PlayerUnknown’ Greene has announced that the console version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was played by 1 million people in the first two days.
Seeing just how well PUBG would do on console was always an interesting proposition. There was no doubt it would do very well, of course, it’s one of the biggest games of the year and is a full-blown phenomenon. Reaching 1 million in just two days is a pretty big deal though. That number is obviously growing too and as we come into Christmas, I fully expect to see more announcements as the game flies past more and more milestones.
It’s the start of the road on console for us. We‘ve lots to improve & update over the coming months & w/ your feedback we’ll make a great game together!

Now, of course, the game has had some problems too. It’s been plagued by performance issues and significant fame drops. Hopefully, it will see rapid improvement in the Game Preview ecosystem because… well, good games that run well are a win for everyone.
