Look Who Showed Up at Disneyland for the Candlelight Processional Last Night

Tis the season for holiday cheer, with the annual Disneyland Candlelight Processional and Ceremony kicking off the festivities at the Anaheim park.

Disneyland 2017 Holiday
HOLIDAYS AT THE DISNEYLAND RESORT (ANAHEIM, Calif.) – The Disneyland Resort is a magical place for creating holiday memories with family and friends. Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will run from Nov. 10, 2016, through Jan 8, 2017, with the new “Festival of Holidays” and new “World of Color–Season of Light,” plus guest favorites “it’s a small world” and Haunted Mansion Holiday. Glistening Christmas trees and beautiful seasonal décor adorn the entire Disneyland Resort, and “A Christmas Fantasy” Parade is performed daily. (Paul Hiffmeyer/Disneyland Resort)

Every year, Disney cast members don robes and gather on risers right outside Main Street USA to treat visitors to carols and spoken stories. Last night was the first of two nights of the 2017 event, and a special guest showed up to take role of narrator.

Chris Hemsworth who plays Thor Odinson in the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe films was on hand to narrate both the processional and ceremony.

Apparently someone in the crowd yelled out "I love you Chris" and he responded to the amusement of all there.

Around 600 people made up the choir this year, including members of local schools, churches and other social groups as well as the volunteer Disney cast members. The live music accompanying the singers was a provided by a 50-piece orchestra.

If you're planning to try to make it into the park for the festivities tonight (that kick off at 7:15pm) good luck! The DisneylandAP twitter account posted about an hour ago that all parking attached to the resort is completely full.
