Quentin Tarantino's Next Movie is Due out in Summer 2019

There has been a lot of noise around Quentin Tarantino's next movie of late. The 'Charles Manson movie that isn't a Charles Manson but 1969 movie' has been gearing up production, seeing a jump from the Weinstein Company to Sony in recent weeks.

Well, we now have a release date for the project too. According to Variety, the project is set for Summer 2019, with an August 9 date set in order to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the LaBianca murders. As things stand, this would see it go up against the Disney adaption of Artemis Fowl, which might well be big competition. At the same time, to say these films might attract different audiences might be an understatement.

A lot of noise has been made about the film's subject matter and Tarantino's usual stylistic choices leading many to think the director might not tred so lightly with something as tragic as these murders. The film coming out on the 50th anniversary will certainly stir that pot too. However, there have been conflicting reports on what the films actual focus is, so I suppose we will just have to wait and see on this one.
