Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina #9 Delayed Until Well Into 2018

The mature readers comic series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina launched its first issue from Archie Comics back in October 2014. Every now and then they have published another, but this year they intended to get the series back on track.

Back in April, Archie CCO and Riverdale showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa talked to CBR about the schedule of the cripplingly late Archie spinoff horror series.

Robert and I are really jamming on the book now, and issue #8, which is the first round of the 'Witch War' — Spellman vs. Spellman — is a few pages from being done, and then it's straight into 9…We're getting our groove back!

About that. Sabrina #7 came out on July 5th, Sabrina #8 on August 23rd, and then there was a gap, with Sabrina #9 planned for December 6th.

That's not happening. Archie Comics has informed retailers that Sabrina #9 is cancelled. It will be resolicited, but that means March 2018 at the earliest.

Sorry, folks. The following will be a while…

"Witch War," Part 3: "The Sacrificial Lamb." Sabrina has brought Harvey's body back to life (along with her father's soul). But there is a cost to everything. Unless she wants the Gates of Hell to open, Sabrina must find a person to sacrifice in Harvey's place. But wait… Sabrina would never kill someone, would she? For TEEN+ Readers.
