I really enjoyed Luc Besson‘s adaptation of the comic Valerian Et Laureline by Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières, as Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets. I talked about the film and interviewed Luc Besson here.

Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets starring Cara Delevingne, Dane Dehaan, Rihanna and Clive Owen will be available to own on 4K Ultra HD, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD from 27th November and digital download from the 25th.

This clip below will be available to watch on the Blu-ray, an introduction to Valerian and its origins, and includes Luc Besson talking about the comic book Valerian Et Laureline, why he chose to make Valerian, as well exploring the characters of Valerian and Laureline. And shared exclusively with Bleeding Cool today…

In the year 2740 Valerian and Laureline are special operatives for the government charged with maintaining order throughout the universe. Under orders from their commander, Valerian and Laureline embark on a mission to the breath-taking intergalactic city of Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis comprised of thousands of different species from all four corners of the galaxy.
