Paul Oakenfold's Wonderful World Of Perfecto Gets A WOODnLeG Cover

Paul Oakenfold's upcoming "not quite true" graphic novel memoir, The Wonderful World of Perfecto with Tyler Boss (4 Kids Walk Into a Bank), Chris Hunt (Carver), Ian McGinty (Welcome to Showside) and Koren Shadmi (The Abaddon) is coming from Z2 Comics, and has a cover, revealed below, by WOODnLeG.

Who? We're talking portmanteau.

WOODnLeG are the artists Darren Le Gallo and Chandler Wood. Working across painting, drawing, collage, mural, and graphic novels, WOODnLeG encourages each other to experiment together in theme and medium unfamiliar to their respective comfort zones. Chandler Wood is a film and commercial storyboard and concept artist, and cartoonist. Darren Le Gallo is a writer, director, and painter, and is currently producing his first film. WOODnLeG are wrapping up their first graphic novel, Tonight There's Gonna Be a Jailbreak.

This is the second in a series of high-profile music-related graphic novels from Z2 Comics featuring original soundtracks. In fact the Mondo release of the limited edition of Murder Ballads is out in a few weeks.

The Wonderful World of Perfecto will be published on November 21st by Z2 Comics. To accompany it, Oakenfold is composing an original soundtrack that will only be available with the purchase of the graphic novel.

2017 marks the 30 year anniversary of Paul Oakenfold's famed trip to the white island of Ibiza, which sparked the creation of club culture as it is known today and inspired his legendary DJ'ing career. The Wonderful World of Perfecto charts his historic career rise to fame, fortune, and musical nirvana. Each of the artists collaborating with Oakenfold will illustrate a different time period in the DJ's life, from his residency at Cream to drinking absinthe with Hunter S. Thompson and touring with U2.

Oakenfold says of the project:

"I am honored and excited to be a part of the first electronic music graphic novel. Being a fan of comic books for many years, I enjoyed telling my story in this context which shows things in a different light."
