Weeks After Calling Out Hollywood Sexual Abuse, Rose McGowan Hit With Arrest Warrant For January Drug Crime

An arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for actress Rose McGowan stemming from narcotics found in belongings she allegedly left on a plane back in January. The warrant for the 10-month-old crime comes just weeks after McGowan began speaking out about sexual harassment and abuse by some of the most powerful men in Hollywood, including producer Harvey Weinstein, whom McGowan accused of rape.

According to Deadline, the warrant was initially obtained by local police back in February, but has recently come to light, possibly because it was entered into a national database. Authorities in Virginia say they’ve been trying to contact McGowan about the felony charge.

Though the timing of the story is suspicious, we’re not saying that the warrant is an attempt to retaliate against or silence McGowan due to her outspoken whistleblowing. McGowan, however, is saying that.

The warrant hasn’t stopped McGowan, however, who tweeted the following last night:

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
