The Official Music Video For Justice League Is Hilariously Amazing

So here's something we don't see very often anyone; music videos for movies. Or maybe they still exist and no one cares about music videos anymore. Either way a music video for Justice League emerged online for Gary Clark Jr's pretty decent cover of "Come Together". The video on the other hand…

Well there's a bunch of footage some of it looks a little new but not anything life changing. The thing that makes this video kind of incredibly is how incredibly awful it is. Like it's almost hilariously bad to the point that it's a work of art.

  • Point One: Gary Clark Jr. looks like he is either way too cool for school and so stoic and serious. This movie about punching CGI monsters is Serious Business. Or he's so bored standing in front of a green screen he's about to fall asleep.
  • Point Two: The crowd of maybe ten people looking like extras from The Matrix complete with cheap 90's club wear.
  • Point Three: Said crowd of Matrix rejects kind of swaying and not doing much and also seeming kind of bored. This isn't really a song you dance to, you jam to it, so why have these people in the shot at all?
  • Point Four: The various shots of the movie combined with the way it's cut makes it look like it came out right around the time as Batman Forever. This one:

Which is about the most 90's thing in the entire world. Aside from maybe this music video.

  • Look, Warner Bros, the 90's were a pretty good time. We didn't have any major wars, the economy was booming, the fashion was hilarious, but comics in the 90's were not good. It flushed the entire business down the toilet and nearly killed all of comics. Why would you want to ape the aestetic of a time we're all embarrassed by for your big Justice League movie in 2017?

So Justice League did do something to make me laugh; just not in the way they intended.
