Square Enix has finally released the minimum and recommended PC requirements for Final Fantasy XV's PC port. The minimum recommended specifications are relatively easy to accommodate as long as you've got a GTX 760 and either an i5 2400 or AMD FX-6100. Chances are, your current rig will be more than capable of running the game. The specs popped up on the Microsoft Store with little fanfare.

The fantasy JRPG was a massive success for Square Enix, especially given the lackluster support for previous efforts in their massive Final Fantasy franchise. No one will ever forget the massive critical and commercial failure that was Final Fantasy XIV version 1.0 – the game that was so unloved they literally exploded it. Final Fantasy XIII was also rather lackluster, especially the later additions to the FFXIII mythos. You may know Final Fantasy XV as the "boy band" Final Fantasy, which is absolutely an accurate depiction of the game. Much of the action involves four rather attractive young men going on a road trip and stumbling across a war along the way. It also includes a pretty epic rendition of "Stand By Me" by Florence and the Machine early in the game as you push a car down a road through the desert.

I only got a few moments to check out the PC port back at PAX West, and it was relatively unstable with a decent amount of lag. That should, hopefully, be fixed by launch.

Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition will be available sometime in early 2018. The game is also available right now for Xbox One and PS4.
