Howard Chaykin Makes The Rudest Reference In A DC Comic For Quite Some Time…

Howard Chaykin has written a new comic book out today from DC Comics, based on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters Ruff & Reddy. And it's a noir look at entertainment, in a Roger Rabbit-world with both humans and "celimates" living side-by-side, battling with prejudice and fear. And Ruff and Reddy, decades after they made the big time, working to make a big in shows like Paw & Order: Interspecies Case Files or Warhole Caligari, and a new talent agent who has some ideas of what they should do next… It is very much the Roger Rabbit of the twenty-first century, and quite enjoyable for all that.

In the Golden Age of television, Ruff and Reddy were on top of the entertainment world…until the world turned, and they were forgotten. Now, Ruff is a washed-up television actor. Reddy is a clerk in an upscale grocery store. Can a hungry young agent convince the two one-time partners to make a comeback-and convince the world that it wants to see the famously infamous dog-and-cat comedy team back in the spotlight? Don't miss it if you can!
