Deadpool 2 Has Wrapped Production (For Real This Time)
There have been a few false endings when it comes to the production of Deadpool 2. Deadline reported last month that both this film and X-Men: The New Mutants were both wrapped, when that turned out to be false. We got just got the trailer for The New Mutants and Simon Kinberg just confirmed that X-Men: Dark Phoenix wrapped production — now we see that Deadpool 2 has wrapped as well. Writer and production Rhett Reese shared the news on Twitter:
Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin also took to social media to talk about wrapping the production.
Deadpool 2 is still eight months away, so we're probably not going to see any footage from it before the end of the year. However, they could surprise us with a teaser at one of the "end of the year" movies. We can just hope that the marketing for the sequel is half as good as the marketing for the first movie.
Deadpool 2, directed by David Leitch, stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Josh Brolin, Brianna Hildebrand, and Zazie Beetz. It will be released on June 1st, 2018.
