Destiny 2's Leviathan Prestige Raid Is Delayed Until October 18th

Destiny 2's Leviathan Raid has been live since mid-September, but one of the major content updates that was supposed to come to the game this week was the Prestige edition of the raid. However, thanks to an exploit found to make enemy encounters much easier than they should be, Bungie has decided to delay the prestige raid's release until October 18th.

In a post on the game's official forums, Bungie defended their decision to delay the release, as the exploit could potentially tarnish the legacy of the team who earns the World First Bonus. They seem pretty confident that they'll have the exploit fixed by next week. Therefore, Destiny 2's first Prestige Raid will now go live on Wednesday, October 18th at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.

The Leviathan Prestige Raid was announced last week alongside a ton of other new content, including Destiny 2's first Iron Banner event and new Iron Banner armor sets. We also got confirmation of the winner of the Faction Wars, which was indeed Dead Orbit — not really a surprise.

For those preparing to take on this heightened difficulty Raid, you have an extra week to find out how to unlock all the shortcuts in the Leviathan Raid and set up your fireteam. You also get some extra time to grind for better gear.
