If You Can Pick Up Your NYCC Badge On Tuesday Or Wednesday, You Should Do So

Lots of people got sent their New York Comic Con 2017 badges in the mail, but some have to pick theirs up in person before the show starts on Thursday. And naturally, crowds are expected. But there is another option: coming by New York's Javits Center on Tuesday or Wednesday.

For then the crowds will be absent, you'll be able to walk through the hall uninterrupted by cosplayers, custom designed cars or the smell of buttery popcorn. Bring your relevant paperwork and pick up your badge, lickety-split. Just pop into the Crystal Palace entrance on 35th and 11th, and maybe, just maybe, get the littlest bit of pre-NYCC thrill before the show begins. And you never know who you'll see there on their way to set up…

Of course, maybe you want the crush, you want the sense of community of being crammed up against the last minute ticket picker-uppers, which NYCC enact the necessary and ramped up security for a show right now. But if I were you (and clearly I'm not) I'd try and pop in on my lunch break. Or make the trip in specially — especially if you are flying in the day before.
