'Stardew Valley' Gets Approval For Nintendo Switch Release

Stardew Valley has already racked up some lovely accomplishments on Steam, including the news that the game will be working on getting a multiplayer version going soon that will allow for much more interactive play and possibilities like marrying an NPC. (That way we can all be Abed and marry our own Hilda!) Right now you can play the game on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, but today Chucklefish Games got some exciting news as they were approved to be added to the Nintendo Switch. The company's CEO and designer, Finn Brice, posted the news on Twitter.

The short version is that the game has passed all the necessary testing and other checklist items that Nintendo subjects every game to in order for it to be included, now it's just a matter of time for the game to get an official release date. If the Switch version of the game translates over like the other versions, there's nothing holding it back from being a standout title on the console and garnering the same fanbase of people who are patiently awaiting other games of the genre that haven't arrived yet, like Harvest Moon.
