Trollhunters Season 2 Adds Mark Hamill, Lena Headey, And David Bradley

Trollhunters Season 2 is pulling in some big names. The DreamWorks and Guillermo del Toro series is adding Mark Hamill, Lean Headey and David Bradley. The join a cast that already includes Kelsey Grammer, Ron Perlman, Steven Yeun, Angelica Huston, Jonathan Hyde, Amy Landecker and Charlie Sexton. The series also includes the late Anton Yelchin, who completed recording through the second season before his passing.

Hamill is best known for his film Corvette Summer and the live-action Guyver

Just kidding. Hamill is, of course, Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise and The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. Headey is getting known for playing tough baddies as both Cersei in Game of Thrones and Ma-Ma in Dredd. And Bradley played Argus Filch (did you know his first name was Argus?) in the Harry Potter films and now plays the First Doctor on Doctor Who.

Trollhunters is the tale of two worlds that collide as our hero Jim and his two best friends discover the hidden world of Trolls that exists beneath their town.

According to Deadline:

"Hamill voices the unknown older brother to a member of the Trollhunting team but has pledged his loyalty to the evil Gunmar. Headey plays an extremely powerful and evil sorceress who must be stopped at all costs, while Bradley voices a mysterious figure known to have great magical powers — but the Trollhunters find he's not the mystical wizard they expected.

Season 2 picks up with Jim entering the Darklands by himself, leaving his best friends and fellow Trollhunters, Toby and Claire, behind. It's slated to premiere later this year."

The series took home six Creative Arts Daytime Emmys this week, including writing for an animated program (Marc Guggenheim), directing (Rodrigo Blaas, Guillermo del Toro), casting (Ania O'Hare, Mare Hildago) and for voice acting for Kelsey Grammer.
