James Gunn Is Getting His Own Funko Pop At NYCC

James Gunn, director of the Guardians of the Galaxy films for Marvel Studios, is getting his own Funko Pop.

Gunn himself made the announcement on his various social media pages this afternoon. He follows celebrities like Bryan Fuller, Conan O'Brien, and others who have become immortalized in Pop form.

They should do so many more of these. I would pay good money to get some of my favorite directors and writers as Funko Pops. They have done some limited edition Pops for some people before, but man, would they sell a ton of those.

This will be available at NYCC as an exclusive at the Funko booth. You can enter the lottery for booth tickets now. This is limited to 500 pieces, and it would not shock me if he shows up at the booth to sign some, as others have in the past. He also mentions that it will be available on the Funko Shop site, so that may be an avenue to get one as well. Scalpers will have a field day with this one.
