Nicole Kidman Is A Queen (In Aquaman)

Aquaman is the only DC movie coming out in 2018 and there is already quite a bit of hype surrounding it. There was some awesome footage shown at Comic-Con International this year and everything about this movie looks unique compared to all of the other movies in the DC Extended Universe so far. It also has a fantastic cast with one of those cast members being the legendary Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna, Aquaman's mother. Kidman is currently promoting her new movie at the Toronto Film Festival Kidman spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about her role in Aquaman.

"I got to be a mermaid. I got to be a Queen. I got to wear a crown. I got to lie on a rock with my hair strewn and blood and I kind of liked it. I'm not a mermaid, I don't have a tail. I have a crown and I have a particular way of looking. I am a Queen."

Nicole Kidman has always been a queen but it'll be nice to see her play a badass one on screen. Kidman is no stranger to DC movies but this is the first time we'll see her in a superhero movie where she isn't a damsel in distress. Sounds good to me.
