CW's New Dare To Defy Highlights Arrowverse And Riverdale
The CW has released their new Dare To Defy video for the new season. They do this at the beginning of the fall seasons and showcase the big stars. From the Arrowverse we get to see Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), Flash (Grant Gustin), Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Steel (Nick Heywood), Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy) and Black Siren (Katie Cassidy). Notable here is the lack of Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum) who we saw in the behind-the-scenes video and Steel isn't wearing his costume. Also, not Black Lightning (Cress Williams), but that makes sense as that won't premiere until the spring.
There is also a good showing from the Riverdale cast including Archie (K.J. Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes), Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) and Josie (Ashleigh Murray). No appearances by the parents or the gun man.
They also use the video to promote Supernatural, Dynasty, Valor, Jane the Virgin and My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
They use a remix of their Dare to Defy song, which only becomes weird if you let the video play all the way through and it switches back to the original song and plays part of last years video, showing cancelled series No Tomorrow and Frequency. Can you say Awkward?
