Forbidden Planet Coventry, part of the southern bit of the divided Forbidden Planet chain of comic shops. are currently recruiting for a store manager. Here's what they are after.

To be part of our growing, knowledgeable and experienced team you will be able to demonstrate your commercial awareness, have a keen eye for raising and maintaining high retail standards of display and manage other staff to provide an exceptional service to our large and longstanding client base.

Your duties will include handling transactions and orders and reporting to Head Office on a regular basis. You will work closely with our Area Manager on budgets, figures and productivity and also manage a small team of staff and generally oversee and support the whole store.

The successful candidate will have previous retail management experience and a keen interest in sci-fi or knowledge of the genre, is highly desirable. A working knowledge of an EPOS system is desirable; however EPOS training on our system will be given.
