VR Shooter From Other Suns Will Be Hosting An Open Beta At The End Of The Month

From Other Suns, the sci-fi co-op VR shooter, will hold a free open beta weekend from Sept 29 to October 1st. The beta will be available through the Oculus Store and run specifically for Oculus Rift users.

VR shooters can be tough, as so many people can get nauseous from strafing, but From Other Suns isn't the worst on that scale. Even better, it's a co-op shooter, which means you can play with your friends. It's almost like being in the same room, just, not quite. From Other Suns includes a wide array of procedurally generated levels, meaning that your co-op experience is different every time, based on a modular system of level design. Some aren't super fond of procedural generation for levels, but the variety will make things a bit more exciting than playing on the same 10 Destiny maps.

Gunfire Games describes From Other Suns with the following:

Your own ship. A crew. Steady work. Things were going well until the Collapse. Now you and half of humanity are trapped on the far side of the wormhole with ruthless pirates, scheming corporations, and worse—new threats from outside known space. There's danger at every jump on this side of the wormhole. You and up to two of your friends will tour the sector, upgrading your ship, stockpiling weapons, and fighting for your lives. And when you all die, you'll discover new challenges in your next playthrough.

Fight and try to save humanity, or just joyride through the galaxy until its extinction. Your call.
