Si Spurrier Will Be Co-Writing Doctor Aphra From November

As well as Kieron Gillen writing the ongoing Star Wars monthly series for Marvel Comics, he was also listed as still writing his Star Wars: Doctor Aphra series. But he clearly wants to spread the love around.

In November's solicitations for Marvel Comics, Si Spurrier was listed as a writer in Doctor Aphra alongside Kieron Gillen.

But is it a back up strip? An epilogue? A co-writer? At the London Super Comic Con today, Kieron confirmed that Spurrier would be co-writing the Doctor Aphra series. And that would begin with a story about a droid with a very different personality indeed.

Given that Gillen has already given us fan favourite Empire droids OOO and BT1, and Spurrier has a fan handle on writing interesting personalities in conflict with X-Men Legacy, it does sound like an entertaining mix… and one that Aphra purists should be able to live with!

Yes they exist. I just chatted with one now and she assures me she's fine with it.

And yes, everyone wants Kieron's T-shirt…
