What Patty Jenkins Would Change In Wonder Woman If She Could

Whenever you complete a creative project there is this instinct to go back and fiddle with it over and over again. This thought that if you fix this one little thing then maybe it'll be completely perfect. That's one of the advantages of having a deadline; it forces you to stop and finish your project. When it comes to movies directors are given the choice to include deleted scenes for people to see and in an interview that Screen Rant was at Patty Jenkins was asked if she would change anything about Wonder Woman.

"No. I mean, yes, there's a million little things. If I had my druthers, the movie would be longer with little tiny jokes and moments that were hard to lose. Particularly because the great thing about these actors is you have such talented funny capable people, so that was already great material for them to work from and then they all just like every mess around would be delightful. So it's really hard to cut a movie like that down, and so just that sort of stuff — details."

Wonder Woman WWI

Thus far we only know about an epilogue that features Etta Candy but besides that it sounds like Jenkins got to make the movie she wanted to make. Jenkins would want us to have more little moments between Diana and her group and those little character moments that don't seem like much but can make a good movie great. There were quite a few of those but a three hour cut of Wonder Woman with more character beats? Sign me up.

Summary: Before she was Wonder Woman she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained warrior. When a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world, she leaves home to fight a war to end all wars, discovering her full powers and true destiny.

Wonder Woman, directed by Patty Jenkins, stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, David Thewlis, Robin Wright, and Connie Nielsen. Check it out in theaters now.
