Katee Sackhoff has officially joined the cast of The Flash for its upcoming season.

Battlestar Galactica Alum Katee Sackhoff Joins CW's The Flash As Blacksmith

The Battlestar Galactica alum has signed on to play the villain Amunet Black, known as Blacksmith, in the CW show's fourth season, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly. Sackhoff will make her first appearance during the season's fifth episode, "Girls Night Out," a crossover with Arrow. Sackhoff joins fellow Battlestar Galactica alums Aaron Douglas, James Callis, Tahmoh Penikett, and Rekha Sharma in what can only possibly viewed as a planned infiltration with sinister end goals, the purpose of which we may not find out before it's too late to stop them. That, or it's a coincidence.

The Flash returns on October 10.
