Changes To Hearthstone, And More Of The Lich King As An Intern

Hearthstone is pushing their new expansion, Knight's of the Frozen Throne, in two ways. First, with the second part of the Lich King working as an intern at Blizzard…which really doesn't work out too well for Ben Brode. And then with a fireside chat with game designer Matt Place, where he talks about the new Death Knight Hero cards.

When the Death Knights were introduced to World of Warcraft, the changed the game quite a bit. Instead of starting at level one, you started at 55 and and you gained power rapidly. They were the first of the Hero Class with the second, Demon Hunters, only joining the game with the latest expansion. So, it makes sense that the new Death Knight Hero cards would have such a dramatic effect on the game, changing the hero and their abilities and making them far more powerful. Place explains the effects these cards have on characters like Malfurion the Druid and Uther the Paladin.

The expansion will be released next week, so I'd expect there to be more reveals starting tomorrow.
