Ed Boon Teases Another 'Mortal Kombat' Character For 'Injustice 2'

When Injustice 2 got Sub-Zero, we kind of assumed it was because the first game got Scorpion and that was kind of the end of it. Then we saw the silhouettes of the new DLC characters that would be added and recognized a familiar hat in the background letting us know that Raiden would be on the way, which was alright. Now, we're getting a teaser from Ed Boon last night that seems to indicate we're getting yet another MK character added to the list.

Fans have deduced, and rightfully so, that based on the armor and tech, that we're getting Cyrax added to Injustice 2. It is pretty feasible since it is Ed Boon, who also revealed the Bizarro Superman skin on the way last week after being featured in the Starfire trailer. Here's our brief take: can we not have any more Mortal Kombat characters in this game?

I understand the game is being handled by NetherRealm Studios and that they have a great relationship with WB Games and it helps bring people into a series with familiar faces. But this is a golden opportunity to have all-time epic DC matches with amazing characters from their vault. Can we get Plastic Man? Can we get The Question? Can we get Hawkman/Hawkwoman? Can we get anyone from an actual DC property that fans would probably want to see before we load up the DLC with MK people? If it is indeed Cyrax, this feels like a wasted opportunity on a character that serves little purpose. If you're going to keep doing MK characters, at least do Johnny Cage for the humor.
