Lupita Nyong'o Goes Undercover At SDCC, Is Too Good For This World

Being a celebrity must be rough. The idea of everyone knowing who you are and constantly begging for your attention sounds uncomfortable at best and hellish at worst. That's probably why Comic-Con International has become a sort of safe haven for the most recognizable people in the world. Everyone is in costume and wearing masks so it's easy to blend into the crowd.

More and more celebrities have started dressing up and hitting the floor with the rest of us. Andrew Garfield, Bryan Cranston, Daniel Radcliffe, and Deborah Ann Woll all dressed up and hit the floor without any of us knowing. We can add a new person to that list, and that is Academy Award Winner Lupita Nyong'o, who hit the SDCC floor not once, but twice over the course of the weekend.

Conventions are exhausting and sometimes rough to get through but seeing the sheer amount of joy Nyong'o has at being on the show floor. She's running around and dancing and having more fun than most of us have had in recent years. The fact that she did it at all is amazing but the fact that she went back for more is even better.

That is just fantastic to watch. The truth is, there are probably way more celebrities out there on the floor than we realize but we'll never know unless they tell us. The fact that now we know that an Oscar winner has joined in on the fun hopefully means that even more people will let their hair down and jump on the insanity that is the show floor. As for Lupita? It looks like she had the time of her life, and that's what matters. Life is too short, so throw on a silly mask and go dance around with 120,000 other nerds like you don't have a care in the world.

Nyong'o will appear in Star Wars: The Last Jedi in December and Black Panther in February.
