'The Magicians' Gets Ready For The Voyage Of The Muntjac

If you're not watching The Magicians on SYFY, you are definitely missing out on one of the most unique, twisted and fun series on television. Based on the Lev Grossman's bestselling books, The Magicians centers around Brakebills University, a secret institution specializing in magic. There, amidst an unorthodox education of spellcasting, a group of twenty-something friends soon discover that a magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real— and poses grave danger to humanity.

Fans of the books knew this was coming, but a major part of the third season will take place on the Muntjac, a living ship that gives all of itself to it's captain. Which for this series could mean a lot of different things. SYFY has released a video showing cast member going to visit the set / ship for the first time. Jason Ralph, Summer Bishil, Hale Appleman and Brittany Curran explore the ship and talk about the upcoming season.

The Magicians

From the image above you can see what the book called The Voyage of the Muntjac as the ship sailed from Fillory out past the Outer Island, After Island and Benedict Island. I can only assume it's an island where Benedict Cumberbatch and Benedict Wong get together to plan out the next Doctor Strange movie… and the ship continues on past the Floating Castle until it reaches the World's End. If nothing else, this trip might end or validate the whole Flat Earther controversy. Or it's a tavern and Simon Pegg is waiting there with a cold pint.

The Magicians season three will debut in 2018 on SYFY.
