Today in Pro Wrestling history, in 2015 WWE presented their PPV Battleground on the WWE Network, featuring a title match between Champion Seth Rollins and challenger Brock Lesnar. It was Lesnar’s rematch after Seth cashed in Money in the Bank at Wrestlemania to capture the title. During the match, in a huge surprise, The Undertaker interfered in the match, making a rare apperance outside of Wrestlemania. This would go on to lead to a series of matches between Lesnar and Taker throughout the fall. And a Happy Birthday going out to WWE Champion Jinder Mahal!

Today in Bleeding Cool history, I could have chosen from multiple years, but in 2012 we covered the first day of SDCC extensively and in was a BIG year that year.

Today’s Birthdays include Max Fleischer animator (1883), Bob Burden artist (1952), Anthony Edwards actor (1962), Jim Norton comedian (1968), Benedict Cumberbatch actor (1976), Jared Padalecki actor (1982), Jon Jones MMA fighter (1987)
