Surprise! Not Many People Are Liking Nintendo's Switch App

Shocking news for anyone working at Nintendo: Very few people are really digging their new smartphone app for the Switch. The Nintendo Switch Online App has only been on the market for a day and the reviews coming in for iOS and Android are pretty much what you'd expect, as people are criticizing the functionality, connectivity, and practicality of its use.

The primary criticism of the app was why have an app in the first place instead of having in-game chat built into the Switch. If you got a headphone jack, you're already halfway there, so why not include the software? A lot of the iTunes store's responses are in the 5-Star range, but a closer look shows that many of those are criticisms in disguise, making fun of the abilities of it and even using the rating system to recruit people onto Dischord.

It's a little disappointing to see this, especially since Nintendo is always a company who see to like to try new things, even to a fault. If the reviews for Android are anything like they are for iOS, you can chuck this idea into the same bin as the Virtual Boy, the 64DD, and the Nintendo Rewards system.
