Black Panther is joining the Marvel Legends 12-inch line, and man does he look cool. The 12-inch line has been aweosme so far, I own every released piece so far, including the Target exclusive Black Suit Spider-Man (review coming soon!), so this will be a instant purchase for me. This will actually be the first figure that has a likeness to a character from a film, with the face-sculpt modeled after Chadwick Boseman and his appearance in Civil War and the upcoming Black Panther film.

“After the events of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.”

I cannot wait for the film, and having a Black Panther figure in this scale and of this quality is going to be awesome. He can hang out next to Deadpool and Captain America! And even Thor and Hulk when they are released this fall. I know that this line has had its ups and downs at retail, but I for one hope that they continue with these forever. I need a full Guardians team, some villains, Thanos. I want as many as I can get. I will be trying to get the SDCC exclusive Daredevil all week while I am there as well.

Black Panther will be joining my collection when he is released in the the spring of 2018, which hopefully means around the time of the films release.
