Patton Oswalt Is Space Cabbie, The DCU Answer To Intergalactic Uber

This week's Justice League Action puts Space Cabbie in the spotlight as Superman has introduced a virus to the Mother Box's, shutting down all the Boom Tubes and making Darkseid have to hail a cab to meet with his underlings. Space Cabbie is voiced by comedian Patton Oswalt. The DC All Access video below shows a clip from the episode, Fatal Fare as well as an interview with producer Jim Krieg talking about what's coming up on the series. Krieg says Paul Dini walked in and said, "The episode opens with Space Cabbie arriving on Apocalypse, opening the door and saying, 'Mr. Darkseed' to which he's corrected, 'That's Darkside'." And from their the rest of the episode didn't matter, they were doing it. As he says, the very serious, word-changing events of the episode all started with one joke. One of the biggest debates of the episode is if Darkseid would be polite and say "please" when giving his destination. The episode also features the voice of Mark Hamill as Swamp Thing, who Krieg says plays it so different than his Joker voice that the two could be in the same episode.
