Titan Comics To Debut Fighting American #0 At San Diego Comic-Con For Jack Kirby's 100th

Fighting American #0

2017 would have been Jack Kirby's 100th birthday. And this year, San Diego Comic-Con is full of Kirby-related events, projects, panels, galleries and celebrations of the man, and the many houses that Jack built.

And Titan Comics is taking one, from Britain to America, Fighting American, created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby in 1954 at a time when they were forbidden from contributing to the Captain America comic book, and decided to show then proto-Marvel Comics Atlas, how it should be done.

They will be debuting the comic at San Diego with Fighting American #0, ahead of the character's publication in comic book stores in October, with this exclusive Terry Dodson sketch cover.

The new comic by Gordon Rennie and Duke Mighten continues after the Simon and Kirby series finished.

Fighting American #0 will include a preview of #1, an interview with writer Gordon Rennie, character sketches by Duke Mighten, as well as the complete origin story of the red, white, and blue hero from 1954.

This special edition is available to purchase at the Titan booth #5537 at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. Fans will also have the opportunity to get their comic signed by cover artist Terry Dodson on Friday 21 July at 1PM.
