Max Landis Teases American Alien Followup, Superman: Agent Of Batman

It looks like Max Landis is working on a new project for DC Comics, set in the same universe as 2016's American Alien.

Landis teased a script featuring Dick Grayson talking with Clark Kent about Batman on Twitter this morning, writing, "It's time."

And adding:

When asked if the story will be set in the same universe as American Alien, Landis seemingly dropped more details:

And shared some more insight into his take on Batman:

So it looks a lot like we'll be getting a 7 chapter prestige format graphic novel set in the American Alien universe by Max Landis, focusing at least in part on the relationship between Batman and Dick Grayson during their formative superhero years, and starring Superman as well.

And it also seems to be the evolution of a long-gestating concept Landis calls Superman: Agent of Batman.

As Bleeding Cool reported last October, Landis was teasing a project with the initials "AOB" using the same image he used today, and Grayson could certainly be considered an "Agent of Batman."

However, the project Landis has been teasing for well over a year seems more Superman-centric, and wide in scope as well:

With San Diego Comic Con rapidly approaching, and a promised release date of "2017," we should find out more details soon.
