The First 4 Pages Of Tomorrow's The Divided States Of Hysteria #2 By Howard Chaykin From Image Comics

The first issue of The Divided State Of Hysteria by Howard Chaykin caused quite the scene, though as I said at the time, possibly not for the reasons Chaykin may have had in mind.

I've had a sneak look at the second issue and, well, those who had a problem with the first issue are over allegations of transphobia, yes, probably going to feel the same about this even-more-twisted version of the Suicide Squad. Those who had a problem with the now-abandoned fourth issue cover, will see a reprise to that in this very issue. And the finale of the first issue that saw a number of women in traditional Islamic dress, literally impregnated with small nuclear bombs, trigger them in the centre of what one dubbed "Jew York City" wasn't a hoax, a dream or an imaginary story. Well, I mean it was, but not in the context of the narrative being told. And the man who let it slip through his fingers at the epicenter of the seismic blast of history…

The Divided States Of Hysteria #2 by Howard Chaykin is published tomorrow. His name alone should be a trigger warning these days.
