Misfits Reboot Casts Dave Foley And Charlie Saxton
Freeform has cast Dave Foley (NewsRadio) and Charlie Saxton (Hung) as series regulars in the reboot of the supernatural drama, Misfits. The series is from producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and will be written by Diane Ruggiero-Wright (iZombie). It is inspired by the British series that follows a group of young troublemakers in a community service program who gain superpowers from an electrical storm.
The two actors have been cast as Bernie (Foley), an Uber-like driver who is described as clumsy, dorky and out of date. And then there's Simon (Saxton), intelligent, odd and mostly unnoticed by everyone except his roommate who tortures and shuns him. Already cast are: Ashleigh LaThrop, Tre Hall, Allie MacDonald and Jake Cannavale.
Production on the pilot is currently underway in Vancouver.
