Hugh Jackman Will Play Senator Gary Hart In Political Drama ‘The Frontrunner’

The Wolverine franchise is taking a very strange new direction. Following the success of R-Rated Logan, the next Wolverine movie, subtitled The Frontrunner, will star Hugh Jackman as real-life politician Gary Hart, according to a report from Variety. Hart was the early frontrunner for the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination (hence the name). Hard dropped out of the race after an affair scandal. Ha ha ha. Remember when scandals stopped people from being president? Hart also ran in 1984, ultimately losing to Walter Mondale, who lost to Ronald Reagan.

Jason Reitman will direct the film, which will offer moviegoers an escape from the relentless current real-life political drama through the escapism of real-life political drama from thirty years ago. No word yet on who else will star in the film, or whether the film will also be given an R-Rating for the graphic scenes of Hart eviscerating political opponents with his adamantium claws.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
