Jeff Lemire Revamps Rampage for 'Bloodshot Salvation' in September

Valiant is kicking off the last week of June with a series of teasers spotlighting the cast of Bloodshot Salvation #1 — the first issue of the new ongoing series from writer Jeff Lemire and artists Lewis LaRosa and Mico Suayan. 

First up is none other than Rampage — a revamped version of Valiant's big-bad from his 1990s series, originally created by Kevin VanHook and Norm Bregfoyle in Bloodshot #33. We don't know much about this new incarnation yet, other than he'll hunting Jessie, Bloodshot's adolescent daughter, in the near-future timeline of Bloodshot Salvation as part of Lemire's dual present/future narrative on the series.

Valiant's promotions around the series have a touted Bloodshot Salvation's growing roster of villains as a central selling point of the new series, and, based on Rampage's cameo appearances in 2015's Book of Death and Lemire's Book of Death: The Fall of Bloodshot one-shot, he's a character that the writer and publisher have both assigned major significance to for the future of Valiant's universe.

Indeed, Rampage appears to be so important that Valiant is also promoting a special pre-order bonus — entitled the Bloodshot Salvation #1 Rampage Redux — that will only be available to readers that reserve first year's worth of Bloodshot Salvation by July 27th. This "raw, black-and-white" version of the series' first issue will come polybagged with the first Bloodshot Salvation pre-order edition — itself featuring an additional eight pages of exclusive content — and will include multiple special features such as "Top-Secret Mission Reports," "The Biology of Bloodshot," "Bloodshot's Body Count," and "The Complete History of Bloodshot."

Valiant also notes that, just like the pre-order editions themselves, the Bloodshot Salvation #1 Rampage Redux will not be made available for individual sale "or offered in subsequent solicitations," so get those pre-orders in July 27th or forever hold your peace.

Bloodshot Salvation #1 by Jeff Lemire, Lewis LaRosa, and Mico Suayan will go on sale September 20th, 2017 from Valiant Entertainment.
