Spider-Man Homecoming Update Coming For Avengers Academy

In what I guess is a pretty obvious update for next month, Avengers Academy, the mobile game that allows players to collect redesigned teenage versions of their favourite Marvel superheroes and villains, will be offering a Spider-Man: Homecoming-related update.

Avengers Academy

Using a somewhat reimagined version of the Spider-Man: Homecoming plot for the game, the update will see the "almost-hero" Vulture spurned by the Midtown School for Science and Technology and the Avengers Academy, for apparently stealing ideas and tech of other students, so the Vulture attacks Spidey's new school and his old stomping grounds.

Apparently, players will get the chance to gain the help of various spider-heroes from across the multiverse (again), promising some new ones as well as the ones we saw in previous Spider-Man events. And if the artwork is anything to go by, we'll likely get the chance to get Spider-Man's Homecoming outfit, too.

Possible characters to come in the game, judging by rumours and hints from the movie? Prowler, Shocker, Silk, and Scorpion may play a role in the game. Only time will tell on that front. Or possibly an early reveal in a Marvel interview, as has been the case for the last couple events.

For those unfamiliar with Avengers Academy, here's how makers TinyCo, Inc describe the game:

"Experience the MARVEL Avengers as you've never seen them before!

Avengers Academy is available on Android and iOS and Spider-Man: Homecoming is out July 7th, and the Spider-Man: Homecoming update starts in the game next month.
