PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Might Jump To PS4 Soon

One of the many anouncements given during the barrage of trailers that made up Microsoft's Xbox E3 press conference was that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds would be coming to the Xbox One family of consoles and be playable in 4K. While many of the trailers were preceeded by things like "Xbox Exclusive" or "Worldwide premiere" it was hard to keep track of just what was an exclusive and what wasn't. So you can't blame the Daily Express for publishing an article claiming that the battle royal game would remain an Xbox One console exclusive, because that is exactly what Microsoft wanted us to think. However, after that article hit, developer Bluehole Studios issued a statement to GameInformer that refutes that claim.

The statement reads the following: "We're excited to announce that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is coming to Xbox One. We're always looking at various platforms to potentially introduce our game, but have nothing further to announce at this time."

So now the rumor mill has sparked that Battlegrounds will be making it to PS4 eventually, and it would be a smart move for Bluehole Studios to put the game on as many platforms as possible.

While that statement doesn't directly announce a PS4 port, it does announce that Bluehole are looking at other consoles to move the game to. And what other consoles are there for a FPS title but the PS4? I sincerely doubt it'll make it to the Switch, but you never know.
