Stranger Things Action Figures Are On Their Way From Funko

Well, I knew these were coming. But they look awesome. Funko has announced their first (of many I hope) wave of action figures based on the Netflix series Stranger Things. From the Funko blog announcement:

From Netflix's Original Series Stranger Things,
some of your favorite characters from Hawkins, Indiana
are joining the Funko Action Figure line!

Action Figures are arriving as 3-packs.
Each figure stands 3 ¾ tall and are fully articulated.

Pack 1 includes Lucas, Mike,
and Eleven – with her signature Eggo.

In addition, pack 2 features Will,
Dustin, and Demogorgon.

Add both 3-packs to your collection this Summer!

There are a few things I love about this. I love, love, love that these are going to be 3 3/4 inch figures. That takes care of the nostalgia aspect. I like that they are also fully articulated, I am sure they could have just given us ReAction style figures and called it a day and they still would have sold. The accessories are where they get me. I mean, I didn't know I always wanted a little mini Eggo waffle to go with my action figures, but now I can't imagine living in a world where I don't have one. All five kids are represented here, and each comes with something special to each one from the show. The sculpts here are also pretty impressive, the highlight being the Demogorgon of course. Man, they really nailed that design. The extra articulation near the wrist is a great touch, it will make for more menacing poses.

All in all, the only major complaint I have is that I am afriad this will be the only wave. I am crazy, so I want a figure for every character on this show. Leave no stone unturned Funko!!! Hopper, Joyce, Steve, Barb…we better get as many waves as it takes to get to them all!

Look for these on shelves towards the end of the summer, possibly in August.
