Watch The Assault On Theed Mission From Star Wars Battlefront II In The Newest Trailer

We all knew this was coming, but seeing the Assault on Theed mission live during the Star Wars: Battlefront II portion of EA's EA Play press conference was an absolute joy. And naturally it makes for a great gameplay trailer.

The Assault on Theed is the game's first look at multiplayer gameplay and included some interesting moments, like Darth Maul and Yoda anachronistically showing up to do what Star Wars: Battlefront II does best, which is make no chronological sense. Oh yeah, and Rey appeared. Again, no sense.

But hey, Finn and Captain Phasma will make it to Battlefront II, as free DLC characters this holiday season, however.

The best part of the trailer included the moments from the single player campaign.

Updated: Watching the mission in action between all of EA's "game changer" partner streamers was definitely an interesting experience. We got to switch between the aerial combat, the street-level combat, siege mode, and some unconventional tactics. It was definitely worth checking out, and you should absolutely try and get your hands on the footage at the EA Star Wars Twitch channel.
