Hannah John-Kamen Joins Cast Of Ant-Man And The Wasp

Ant-Man and the Wasp is only a year away, so it looks like we're about to enter the periphery of its news cycle. With that in mind, Marvel has added the first major cast member to the film, a cast member who's so major, in fact, her last name has a first name. That's right, Hannah John-Kamen has joined the upcoming production, according to a report from Variety.

John-Kamen is known for her roles in British shows such as Killjoys and Black Mirror, and has also appeared in a few episodes of Game of Thrones, a prerequisite of any major casting these days. She is also set to play a character named F'Nale Zandor in 2018's Ready Player One. No word on what role John-Kamen will be playing in Ant-Man and the Wasp, which is good, because the entertainment media can get more consecutive news articles out of it this way.

Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man and the Wasp will be the 20th movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the first to have a woman share top billing with a male superhero in the title. The following movie, Captain Marvel, will be the first solo superhero film starring a female superhero from Marvel Studios, as well as the first to be directed by a woman. For comparison, Bleeding Cool can confirm that women comprise roughly half of the world's population.

Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Michael Douglas will reprise their roles from Ant-Man in the movie, which hits theaters on July 6th, 2018.
