GeekWork: Temporary Admin Assistant Wanted For San Diego Comic-Con

GeekWork reports on jobs in the comic book or comic book-related areas.

Well, it's one way to avoid the ticket queues. Comic-Con: International, the company that puts on the San Diego Comic-Con and Wondercon is advertising for an administrative assistant. I mean, they don't say that's who it is openly. But that is who it is. I mean, just look.

Ajilon is partnering with an exciting events company to fill their open Administrative Assistant job in Downtown San Diego, CA. To qualify, you must possess at least one (1) year of recent, relevant experience in a highly similar role and have intermediate to advanced Excel skills. You will work for one of the most revered companies in San Diego and the world! If you are a fan of animé, comics, sci-fi, or fantasy, this is your DREAM JOB! This is a temporary job opportunity that will last through the end of July. You will earn $16.00 per hour in this role.

Because San Diego Comic-Con ends for the year at the end of July. So if that's you, and you actually do have the skills you want, go for it. I would expect office dress code to not include large Japanese swords or Harley Quinn facepaint though.

Other ways in include being an intern for Cryptozoic, be a Trade Show assistant for Shottsy Arts, a Cook, a Security officer, a Temporary Guest Service Representative, or a a Cleaner

The Cleaning Services Workers are responsible for helping us keep the Convention Center clean and safe for the event. The selected candidates may be assigned to work specific locations such as the exhibit hall, restrooms, and public areas within the building. Duties include keeping floors clear of trash and debris, removing trash bags from containers and placing in large bins for disposal, and keeping restrooms clean and paper products stocked.

*Selected candidates must be available to work all event dates between Wednesday, July 19 and Sunday, July 23, 2017 and attend a five (5) hour orientation prior to working the event.

Work schedules will vary and may start as early as 6:00am.

No late night parties then! Or if so, you'll have to just work through…
