The Cosplay Of Collectormania In Birmingham

Olly MacNamee writes

While the Collectormania debut show here in Birmingham wasn't as packed as the MCM shows (thankfully, although exhibitors and dealers may not share my sentiment) the queues for the varied actors, sportsmen and women and 'celebs' were long. It would seem the thirst for autographs is an unquenchable one for some, but it's not for me.

Disappointingly, none of the actors I had hoped to pin down for a short interview were willing. Not one. Which was a real shame as I did have my heart set on The Flash's Carlos Valdes (Cisco), but it was not to be, meaning, other than a few snaps of the cosplayers (again, not as many as your average MCM show, but I'm sure their presence will grow as will audiences, possibly) there was little point in me hanging around really.

And so, after but a few hours, and after a great 'Superman/Supergirl' panel with Helen Slater and Dean Cain – Cain being a great panelist and only too happy to talk, unlike Slater who sat back – I packed up and called it a day.

So, with but a handful of cosplay snaps to share with you all, enjoy them nonetheless.
