Get Your First Look At Disney XD’s Rebooted “Marvel’s Spider-Man” Cartoon

Borrowing a tactic from the comic book industry, Marvel will be relaunching its Spider-Man cartoon with a new number one episode this Summer. Marvel’s Spider-Man will debut sometime in the coming months on Disney XD, replacing the previous Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and featuring a 15-year-old Peter Parker and probably a retelling of his origin story. The show’s description, from IMDb:

An insecure but courageous and intelligent teen named Peter Parker, a new student of Horizon High, is bitten by a radioactive spider and given powers. He becomes a hero named Spider-Man after the death of his uncle and he must adapt to this new way of life.

TV Guide has a first look at the show, which is actually a decent length clip of Spider-Man battling The Scorpion. We’ve embedded it below, so give it a watch, and then post in the comments about how it will never live up to Spectacular Spider-Man or the 90s animated series.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
